Strong gravity effects of charged Q-clouds and inflating black holes

چکیده

Abstract In this paper, we re-examine charged Q -clouds around spherically symmetric, static black holes. particular, demonstrate that for fixed coupling constants two different branches of scalar clouds exist Schwarzschild This had not been noticed previously. We find the new solutions possess a ‛hard wall’ at maximal possible gauge coupling. wall separates interior (containing hole horizon), in which field is trapped ‛false vacuum’, from ‛true vacuum’ exterior. When taking back-reaction onto space-time into account, back-reaction, corresponding to these either become extremal holes with diverging derivative on horizon or inflating second, ‛cosmological’ which—outside second horizon—correspond Reissner–Nordström

Charged black holes in Hǒrava gravity

We explore static spherically symmetric black hole solutions allowing a bulk U(1) vector field in the khronometric formulation of Hořava gravity by way of EinsteinÆther. We examine analytic solutions and study numerical results in the limit that the khronon does not backreact on the metric.

Charged Black Holes and Unusual Wormholes in Scalar-tensor Gravity

We consider static, spherically symmetric, electrically or/and magnetically charged configurations of a minimally coupled scalar field with an arbitrary potential V (φ) in general relativity. Using the inverse problem method, we obtain a four-parameter family of asymptotically dS, flat and AdS solutions, including those with naked singularities and both extreme and non-extreme black-hole (BH) s...

Perturbative metric of charged black holes in quadratic gravity.

We consider perturbative solutions to the classical field equations coming from a quadratic gravitational lagrangian in four dimensions. We study the charged, spherically symmetric black hole and explicitly give corrections up to third order (in the coupling constant β multiplying the RμνR μν term) to the Reissner–Nordström hole metric. We consider the thermodynamics of such black holes, in par...

NUT-Charged Black Holes in Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

We investigate the existence of Taub-NUT/bolt solutions in Gauss-Bonnet gravity and obtain the general form of these solutions in d dimensions. We find that for all nonextremal NUT solutions of Einstein gravity having no curvature singularity at r = N , there exist NUT solutions in Gauss-Bonnet gravity that contain these solutions in the limit that the Gauss-Bonnet parameter α goes to zero. Fur...
